Why

Most “AI agents” wait to be asked.

A chatbot answers when you type. Real work doesn't happen that way: inboxes fill up overnight, servers fail on weekends, deadlines move while nobody is looking.

Simbiot is built the other way round. It lives by ticks, like a heartbeat. On every tick it looks at what changed, decides what is within its authority, does it with real tools — and hands the rest to a human with full context.

Works by itself

An escalation ladder sends anything it can't decide safely up to a person, with the full context attached. No silent guessing.

LLM only where it matters

Reflexes and skipped beats cost nothing. Language models are used for judgment, with a hard cap on steps per cycle.

Every action leaves a signature.

An agent with real tools needs a real audit trail. Simbiot is built on event sourcing: nothing is overwritten, everything is replayable.

  • Signed events. Every event is signed with ed25519 and hash-chained to the one before it.
  • Tamper-evident log. One verify command walks the full chain and shows if anything was altered.
  • Safe retries. Idempotent delivery — no duplicate notifications, no double payments, no repeated side effects.
  • Per-agent access. REST API and MCP gateway with separate tokens for each agent, so you can see and revoke exactly who did what.
